Knockderry House has been holding memorable Hogmanay parties for guests and visitors to Scotland over 20 years and this year will be no different: the tradition will continue.
This year the programme has been slightly altered to reflect the current challenges but we are determined to offer you the same level of warm Scottish hospitality, great food and traditional entertainment.
Our 2 night inclusive, New Year Break at Knockderry House is a wonderful opportunity to meet up with old friends and see in the New Year on the banks of Loch Long, one of the most beautiful sea lochs in Scotland.
Programme
Thursday, 31 December 2020
Arrive from 4 pm, for an individual afternoon tea relaxing in front of one of the fires. For those needing to stretch their legs after a long journey and before the evenings festivities, enjoy a short gentle stroll along the sea shore of Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde.
Hogmanay 5 course Dinner : Our Celebration Dinner starts from 7.30 pm with a Piper calling us to dinner. Join the owners Murdo and Beth MacLeod and your fellow guests, for a glass of sparkling wine and some canapes at your table in the Restaurant followed by your special 5 course candlelit Hogmanay Dinner.
Your menu will be issued prior to the event and will begin with a glass of Rose Cremant de Loire and a delicious amuse bouche. Dinner will be accompanied by tunes and songs from our Hogmanay musicians.
Depending on the restrictions at the time we will offer a suitable event to see in the new year and details will be confirmed nearer the event.

Ne'er Day Brunch: From 8am to 10.00 am, tea, coffee and pastries will be available for early risers, for the rest, Ne'er Day Brunch will be served from 10 am til 3.00 pm
Ne'er Day Activities
- The Great Ne'er Day Treasure Hunt: Learn a little about the history and the culture of this unique peninsula and Knockderry House. For those that wish it we can offer you a picnic lunch to take with you on your adventures.
- Take to the hills and enjoy the great outdoors.
- Stay indoors by the fires, play games or join our Story Teller to listen to some tradtional stories and myths. (Pre booking essential)
Ne'er Day Supper: Relax and recover after a day of activity with supper in the restaurant. The winners of the Treasure Hunt will be announced!
